Employment Disputes: A short intro, I'm in career level 7, joined Accenture on 19th June 2018, my role was to manage & lead two towers SAT and Audit & Compliance teams in Hyderabad Micro soft project .As per our relocation plan, self along with my 9 year old daughter were to move to Hyderabad, and my husband to get transfer after a couple of months.My spoc recommended QUALIA as a safe and secure place to stay but unfortunately had a harrowing experience on 20th midnight around 1 am, when some one tried pushing my door from outside, I raised my voice and also tried frantically calling the reception, but in vain.

Meanwhile my room was full of cigar smoke and liquor stench was emanating from somewhere. Would like to state that I had been a leader in IT with over 15 years of experience and had handled a global team of 500+, but this nightmarish incident did unsettle me a lot.Not knowing what to do I called Mr Sushil thapar who came over in the next couple of minutes, he also witnessed the smoke and smell and asked one of the workers to sleep in the couch outside and call for help if needed. The next morning I vacated the place and reached office.I spent the next day and night in office by meeting my managers and team, and after informing my reporting manager left by 22nd Friday afternoon flight. Plan was to fly every week end to Chennai and be back for work by Monday morning (until family could move in)Completing mandate trainings
This incident and due to food poisoning I had fallen sick, had a severe infection, dehydration and was advised rest by doctor. Had informed my manager and my leave was approved. During the leave period had been in constant communication with my manager and his nominated spoc Mr Sushil. I resumed work on 4th July and was advised to first concentrate on completing mandate trainings and series of other trainings like operational excellence /maturity , J2IO etc. On 9th July just few minutes before announcing on the floor,it was conveyed to me by my manager that the role for which I had been offered had been given away to another person and that I will drive Business excellence /operational maturity in coordination with Ms Anjana. I was extremely shocked because I didn't have any clues that my role is being taken away, Had had not received any prior information or documentation of the reasons why this had happened to me.Full support and help.
On 15th, my mother had a medical emergency and had been rushed to hospital, I had communicated on the same before rushing to be with her, she had been eventually diagnosed of lung cancer and is in treatment Our family had been in deep pain and agony. I spoke to my manager, conveyed the situation and had requested for a week's leave and two weeks of work at home during which I would complete the trainings and resume work. This was approved. He had assured full support and help.When I went back to Hyderabad and on 7th August late evening around 8 pm my manager asked me to come to his cabin, Mr Saurav was also there, they spoke about placing me in bench. This again was a rude shock which I had least expected. After HR left we continued to discuss but didn't get a fair justice here. Had held leadership roles and had always commanded respect and treated everyone with due respect. But I faced a lot of emotional, moral and mental stress that day on these Employment Disputes.Fitness certificate on joining in Employment Disputes
Next day morning when at work had a severe chest pain and was hospitalized. When I gained consciousness was in hospital was told that I had been unconscious for hours, was advised to undergo cardiac angio but was very scared and wanted to be with my family. During my recovery was informed that I will be placed in Chennai and not to worry and produce a fitness certificate on joining.But upon joining and on discussion at Chennai on 27th August was emailed an redeployment notice where it's mentioned that the redeployment period is for 60 days and it's mentioned in reason as Employee Initiated Employment Disputes - which I strongly don't agree to. I never initiated any request to be placed in bench. Being a new Comer do not have adequate network to seek a project on my own and do not want the risk of separation.Popular Questions:

My sincere and fair asks and expectations here regarding Employment Disputes: 1.When I had joined Accenture on 19 June and despite the welcome note mentioning my Name being sent to client and a further note from management (Kerry) shared with client, and with me being available in Hyderabad from 4th July don't understand why was my role has been taken away without any prior information or written documentation. 2. Had been adept in communicating my leaves, the same had been approved, had not perceived any challenges, If I had been communicated of any challenges would have moved the mountain and rushed to be there. 3.All I request is a good role within Accenture preferably Chennai where I will value add and deliver my absolute best.Please login or Register to submit your answer
