Investment in a fraud company

Actually I have invested  in a company and at that time the company  was working  in a good saturation but after a year the company  stopped  working  and said they will return  the money  in 6 months and after that I want their to meet them but they said they are sorry  but they can't  give the money  back now and they need another 6 months they give the written note that they are not able  to give the money . And so now after 2 years ago we placed  a fraud case on him but I want to know the process through  which  I can get the money back we also have hired a lawyer  but he did n't  do any thing.
